Jim Patton, MBA

I work with veterans who are business owners and other entrepreneurs who are in business as sole proprietors or are engaged in a two- or three-person association. I bring my thirty years of Army experience and twenty years of experience as a solopreneur in HR consulting and business coaching as well as my seven years as a financial professional with me to give a valuable perspective to help these individuals develop their financial goals and then work with them through executing that plan. My goal is to help them preserve their lifestyles, assets and loved ones. While the strategy for each client is always to provide the financial balance they want to achieve, the way they integrate their personal and business finances is unique to each one of them. I am a graduate of Purdue University with a BS in Economics, Oklahoma University with an MBA, and Indiana University with an MS in Adult Education. I am also a graduate of the US Army War College.

I retired from the Army in 2000 as a Colonel after thirty years of service. I was in the Active Army for 12 years and served an additional 18 years in the US Army Reserve. I worked as an HR professional in the banking industry for seventeen years then operated my own HR consulting and business coaching practice until I joined the financial profession in 2014. I currently live in Indianapolis with my wife Janice. When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy reading, running and hiking.
